The Winnipeg Regional Health Authority Health Sciences Centre Winnipeg Diabetes Research Group is associated with the University of Manitoba Department of Medicine Section of Endocrinology. Researchers are involved in clinical and basic science research of diabetes treatment, prevention and complications. The clinical research concentrates primarily on the efficacy of investigational therapies targeting prevention and treatment of diabetes and its complications. The department is lead by Diabetes Specialist and the staff of nurses and dietitians are dedicated to providing high quality care to people affected by diabetes who are participating in research activities.
